In the hard white biting bright,
A Battlefield set against the white.
A marksman's tip to piece his pride;
No shadow fall in which to hide.
Just the shadow fall of the hunter by his side.
So who will care for the last Polar Bear?
Who will wipe away a frozen tear?
Will it be you, will it be me,
In the hard white biting bright?
There in the pale waning Arctic light.
